Soccer star and lesbian icon Megan Rapinoe has just endorsed Elizabeth Warren for president.

Rapinoe shared the news on Twitter yesterday, alongside a video of a phone call between her and the Senator.

“I truly believe the best things in life are a result of being bold and being real,” she wrote. “I’m proud to endorse Elizabeth Warren today, for being bold, for being real, for listening to ALL of us, and for being prepared to navigate the unique challenges we face today as a country.”

The World Cup champ, who was recently named Sports Illustrated’s Sportsperson of the Year, has been incredibly vocal about wanting Donald Trump out of the White House. She notoriously declared that she wouldn’t be “going to the fucking White House” if the U.S. won the FIFA Women’s World Cup long before they actually did, igniting one of Trump’s famous Twitter tantrums.

But while it was obvious Rapinoe would eventually throw her support behind one of the candidates, we weren’t sure who until yesterday. Warren, however, was an obvious choice as a candidate whose progressive and bold stances seem to match Rapinoe’s unapologetic quest for equality and justice.

“I just don’t think we can get to a better place by walking this moderate line, so I appreciate you being out front and being big and bold with that,” Rapinoe tells her in the video.

Warren proceeds to congratulate Rapinoe on her Sports Illustrated honor, calling it “fabulous and well-deserved.”

“And well-deserved because you get out there and you both lead your team on the field, but you also help lead America off the field and that’s really important,” she says.

And Rapinoe makes it official: “Consider me Team Warren.”
