In a long overdue move, Lily Tomlin is FINALLY getting her hand and footprints forever saved in cement in a ceremony outside the iconic Grauman’s Chinese Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard.

Turner Classic Movies announced their intent to honor Tomlin last week, with a press release noting that the “Tony, Grammy, eight time Emmy and two time Peabody Award winner…has had a remarkable career starting in the 1960s starring in cinematic classics, television staples and on stage.”

Tomlin currently stars in the beloved Netflix show Grace & Frankie alongside Jane Fonda, where the two play longtime rivals whose husbands announce they’ve been in a secret relationship with one another for years and are leaving their wives to be with each other for real.

While her acting history is far too prolific to really even list highlights, Tomlin is perhaps best known for starring in the 1980 film 9 to 5, which also starred Fonda and Dolly Parton, and was about three under-appreciated office workers who daydream about killing their terrible, sexist boss.

“It’s hard to imagine a more deserving artist to have her hand and footprints cemented outside Hollywood’s signature classic movie house,” said TCM Classic Film Festival host Ben Mankiewicz.

Tomlin has been married to writer Jane Wagner since 2013, though they have been together since 1971. Both are longtime activists in support of the LGBTQ community, and Tomlin was also recently arrested alongside Fonda at a climate change protest in Washington, D.C.

The handprint ceremony will be held on April 17.
