#RealEstatePorn: Marc Balet Gives a Tour of His Fab NYC Loft, with Bestie Fran Lebowitz (She HATES It.) Watch

Creative director Marc Balet bought his three-story loft in NYC’s Noho district over 30 years ago, when it was a dance studio. Although, it did have a wood-burning fireplace, the beautiful architecture was hidden.

At the time he and pal Fran Lebowitz were both working at Interview, Fran writing her column, I Cover the Waterfront, and Marc as the magazine’s art director. (Fran’s Dad made the curtains on the extra-tall windows that remain to this day.)

Marc & Fran are still best pals, and he recently invited her over for visit with New York magazine’s Wendy Goodman asking the questions. They talked about their long friendship, but mostly about how much Fran hates Marc’s apartment and decorating style.

Watch.
