In partnership with Levi’s and ShopStyle.
Make no mistake, we love
any reason to celebrate holidays. New Year’s, Halloween, Thanksgiving, National Donut Day, National Pizza Day, National Cheeseburger Day… And now, Levi’s 501® Day, an entire holiday devoted to our favorite pair of jeans.
A brief history lesson: On May 20, 1873, Levi’s® invented the blue jean to serve workers who moved out to the American West and needed sturdy, durable pants.
146 years later, we’re celebrating with the jean that started it all. This year, Levi’s® invites us all to make it personal. Rip ‘em. Put yourself into them. Because this is 501® Day, and we’re all collaborators.
Whether it’s a pair of 501s® with a Mickey Mouse print all over, a pair of 501s® subtly printed with the Peanuts gang, or just a light wash with nothing on them, the relaxed fit of the 501® has always been a go-to standard for us. Each 501® is button-fly and has a straight leg fit (although, they do come in a slim fit option nowadays, as well).
Dressed up with a white shirt, or dressed down with a tank, there’s an almost American nostalgia attached to every pair. Classic. Easy. Californian. And what we’re guessing James Dean wore 24/7. But, don’t quote us
To the point of our post, any reason to wear our favorite pair of jeans is a reason worth celebrating. Happy 501® Day, everyone!
