Treat Your Partner to a Meaningful Gift This Christmas

Fifty-six percent of Americans receive at least one unwanted gift at Christmas, according to research from Finder. Whether it’s a typical LGBTQ t-shirt or another bath set, no one wants to be on the receiving end of a bad gift. With the holidays just around the corner and Christmas preparation in full swing, be sure to make time to treat your loved one to a special and meaningful gift that they will love this year.

Gift your photo memories

According to Forbes, 1.2 trillion photos were taken globally in 2017. No doubt, you’ll have taken plenty of snaps of your partner and yourself at LGBTQ events across America, such as at Pride. And there’s no better way to relive these memories and show your partner how much of a great time you had together  by collating all your favorite snaps into a photo collage. This can all be done online and even delivered to a friend’s or your work address so that the surprise isn’t ruined before the big day.

Make it with love

Each year, $71 per person is wasted on unwanted gifts. Yet, a study in the Journal of Marketing found that individuals prefer homemade items as it shows more love. Spend time creating a handmade Christmas gift that you know your partner will adore. For keen bakers, create a cookie mix in the jar kit containing everything they need to make a delicious batch of fresh cookies. Alternatively, make a special bracelet, complete with your partner’s favorite gems and colors for a unique and special gift.

Share the keys

If you and your partner don’t yet live together, consider gifting them a key to your home. By giving them the ability to access your space when they desire, you’ll show your partner how much they mean to you. On the other hand, if you’ve been living together for some time, mark the moment with a special wooden placard or framed photo or illustration of the two of you, along with the date you moved in together.
